I recommend him 100%. Many family members have seen him; all very satisfied. Professional, effective, considerate, knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

My mother recently went to Dr. Marshall for her hip replacement. They gave her discharge teaching, and she eventually had a HH nurse come help her with a few things. The HH nurse was concerned for a blood clot as she had all of the trophy signs for one. My mom called the office with these concerns asking to speak with Dr Marshall or his PA. Anyone really about these concerns. The lady who answered my moms call, I believe (unsure if she is an RN or not) her name was Kasey, chastised my mother and belittled her. Telling her it was all in her head and to forget about it basically. My mother even had pictures of her red, swollen, painful leg. She refused to even connect my mother to any provider. HH nurse instructed my mother to go to the ER. Turns out my mother had a blood clot from her knee up to her pelvis. Apparently she was prescribed Coumadin, but the @ home prescription was strange. She was instructed to stop cold turkey. My mother ended up in the ICU on a heparin drip and needed a stent placed. The providers there informed Dr. Marshall’s office of all of this, yet there was absolutely no word from him or anyone from his office to my mother. No checking in, no apology, nothing. She has since been in the hospital for weeks now trying to get stabilized. I work in healthcare, ICU/trauma specifically, and this behavior and treatment towards a patient is completely unacceptable and inappropriate. I do understand there are risks with every procedure, but when multiple other doctors on my mothers care team are also feeling this is inappropriate and strange, it speaks for itself. I can only hope staff learns from this situation and does better going forward. Listen to your patients. Be kind and empathetic. After posting this review, my mother has tried to get a hold of their office as she was instructed to do so for pain management and medication. When they answered the phone, the woman said, “oh we know exactly who you are.” And put my mother on hold and then was hung up on. I’ve also tried to get in contact. No one answers the phone. This rating is for the facility only. I made an appointment to see Dr. Marshall for a partial tear in my rotator cuff. A receptionist later called me to change the appointment for a week later as Dr. Marshall had decided to be out that day. When I arrived at the appointment, I was met with a PA who looked at my MRI pictures, explained the diagnosis and gave me options. I never saw Dr. Marshall, nor did the PA ever mention why I would not be seeing him. I left feeling angry that I had been made to wait for a week in pain when I could have just seen a PA on the original appointment day. And I also felt that a first appointment should have at least been with the actual doctor. Needless-to-say, I felt marginalized and I won't be visiting this facility again.

I have worked with Dr Marshall in Surgery and because I was able to compare his work with others I chose him above all other Orthopedic Surgeons. Maybe there are some with new tricks etc, but Dr Marshall is caring and treats your body as a precious gift and is careful and conscientious. He is a kind man on top of having excellent skills in joints and structural issues . Choose him. You will be happy.!!! PS his PA is awesome also!! Dr. Marshall is the best! He really cares about you as a person. He never pressures you into surgery and is always honest with you! I had a bad knee replacement by another dr. He did a revision and now several years later my knee is wonderful! My other knee he has done shots in to keep me from having another knee replacement on it for years to come. my experience with the hospital staff and dr. Marshall have been extremely well managed the hospital staff has been some of the kindest people that I've ever had the pleasure of being associated with.

Dr. Marshall and team did an awesome job with bringing back to moving freely again without pain. Highly recommend!

Dr. Marshall does such a great job with Knee replacements! He did both of my wife's, and now one of mine. It's easy to get back up and going after he fixes the knee.

The best orthopedic doctor out there!!! Dr Marshall and his staff are the most caring medical team that sincerely care about your health and well being. He takes the time to really talk to you and make sure that all of your questions are answered and that you understand. I will not go anywhere else!

I switched out to Lone Peak as soon as I found out Dr Marshall is there now. Dr Marshall has been treating my family for a long time. Both of my daughters were in competitive cheer leading, my oldest was told she was done the rest of the season. She had her surgery and was back going to WORLDS with her team. My mom, ex husband, both my daughters and I have used him. Dr Marshall and Scott make a great team together. I have had two knee replacements and one shoulder surgery with Dr. Marshall. I appreciated the time he took to explain procedures and answer my questions. Pre and post surgery he made himself available for questions, etc. His expertise made my surgeries and recoveries a breeze. He had scheduled followup visits regularly to check on my progress in recovery. It’s been 4 years now and we just had another checkup a week ago. Dr. Marshall has performed knee replacements for my wife and I. He has also treated me for shoulder related issues. We have the utmost confidence in him and his professional and talented staff. I was super nervous and my experience was awesome, I researched who to goto, asked around and his name kept coming up from patients and nurse's. It made the decision easier, and after having been through it, I know I made the right choice. Every person I dealt with was a 10, courteous, accommodating, and patient. Dr. Marshall replaced both my knees approximately 3 months apart. I had suffered with knee pain for 60 years and said I'd never have surgery unless I could not walk. This happened when I was 85 years old. Dr. Marshall uses a new 3D Technique which is state-of-the-art. Dr. Marshall has received specialized training using robotic surgery, which gives more precise positioning for a better fit, a smaller incision (less pain), less blood loss, and I never experienced bad pain. I had a prescription for Narco but did not need to use it. I was up walking immediately with a walker, and didn't need it after about 10 days. I recommend Dr. Marshall with all confidence. My husband had a shoulder replacement by Dr. Marshall and he is now pain free. Dr. Marshall is the best orthopedic surgeon you can find in the state of Utah!

Dr Marshall repaired a meniscus tear for me years ago, and most recently did a TKR (total knee replacement) for me about 18 months ago and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Best of luck in your new location!
