Thomas Sunil Kang

Dr Kang quickly and efficiently realized the problem I was having with my right ear. He prescribed medicine for it and just 1 day later I can tell it is making a positive difference. Hoping it goes away forever! I had a hearing test in the same appointment in the same office. Everyone in the office was very nice. I highly recommend Dr Kang from the experience I had and that my brother and father had with him as well.

About two months ago I was visiting my sister in Tucson and she told me that for the last several months she had been having ringing in her left ear and episodes of vertigo. She had seen Dr.Kang who had done some tests and told her he could not find any evidence of pathology.He dismissed her. Since I am a neurologist I immediately was able to localized the pathology to the left eighth cranial nerve. Dr. Kang should've been able to do this as well . I immediately ordered an MRI of the posterior fossa and the internal auditory canal with and without contrast. This showed a very large intracranial tumor ( meningioma). Which was resected recently at the Mayo clinic in Phoenix. My sister is recovering. For this reason I could not recommend Dr. Kahn for any thorough ENT evaluation. He sent my sister home to die. The neurosurgeon the Mayo clinic said that she would be dead in a year.

Dr Kang is an outstanding diagnostician and recognized my allergy problems immediately. We went over the multiple daily strategies I was currently using and he determined I hadn’t missed any . Then he told me about a new cryo surgery that I was as yet unaware. He said that it was done on an outpatient basis and had 75-80% chance of success and no serious downside. I decided immediately to try it. I had the surgery about 6 weeks ago and, indeed, it was a success. I am definitely breathing better than ever and less irritated by allergies. The only problem was that I was the unique patient who experienced significant post operative pain and Dr Kang had not, nor does he intend to, set up his office staff to handle a patient like me. When I told them I was in significant pain after the surgery, the one person present in the room just told me to use normal protocol. I went home with a throbbing headache and followed the protocol to no avail. Two days after the surgery, I called to complain about the pain. He offered to write me a script but since I had been told the after effects were not bad, I thought I would be OK. My error, because two days later I called again while in the area of his office and he invited me to meet with him. He was quite helpful at this point. He asked me why I hadn’t contacted him sooner, and I told him that was not an option I’d been given. He said he was sorry and prescribed both pain medication and antibiotics that I requested. Three weeks after my surgery I was feeling well again although the surgery had not yet fully healed. After six weeks I saw him for my follow up appointment and had good results. Dr. Kang is an excellent diagnostician and surgeon. I just wish I hadn’t been the exceptional patient because I really suffered before receiving help. Dr. Kang was amazing. I walked in with vertigo after having it for 2 weeks. I am also a provider and I could not fix it for myself. He is amazing. He went right to work and fixed it for me. Dr. Kang was truly a fantastic doc!! I cannot say enough good things about him. He treated my deviated septum/turbinate reduction. I can finally breathe freely. I 100% recommended him to anyone needing their nose fixed for this issue.

In the first 5 minutes, he did not let me get a word in. He berated me for believing I had a specific problem. He repetitively told me that no ENT doctor had diagnosed me with the problem I'd been told I had. Just as I was about to walk out, he finally shut up. He did remove the drains from my ears, installed by a now retired ENT. I'll never go back, even though the Office staff was great.

Dr. Kang did not listen, he was rude , and lacked professionalism in his ability to communicate with a patient.

Friendly, quick and patient(ha) in treating my issues. Bit of a drive for me, but the staff make it worth the trip.

Dr.Kang and Dr. Lara are absolutely amazing Doctors and surgeons. They are compassionate and caring with their patients and explain your best options then let you decide. They are completely honest with what to expect Pre surgery as well as post surgery. They have taken care of my wife’s surgeries as well as mine. Their entire staff from the receptionist to the nurses are friendly and professional and they really do care about their patients. I completely trust them with my family’s care. Not a nice doctor, at all, in my opinion.

I have been to.many ENT doctors over the last 10 years. Allergist also. Dr. Lang was the only one thar listened to me. I had 2 prof surgeries. I was diagnosed with vasomotor rhinitis. I was told they could find nothing wrong with my sinuses. I can't begin to tell you how bad I felt! Dr Lang c learned blocked sinuses to.My eyes. He also cleaned out debris that was not removed from my last surgery. It has only been a week and 3 days since surgery. I may feel connected but I feel 100% better than I did before surgery when my eyes swelled shut from infection, lack of energy was so bad all I wanted to do is sleep. Thank you Dr. Lang for giving my life back!

As the mother of a new 19 year old NEW patient, I always want to be by her side. We were referred by the U of Arizona as my daughter is a student with their Health Insurance Plan. Dr Kang and the entire staff were a pleasure to deal with. Having moved from Wisconsin 16 month ago, for the first time we had to rely on a referral. This appointment couldn’t have been better. Very thorough and explained the next steps. We are very pleased after this first appointment and look forward to a healthier future.

The staff at Sonoran ENT is very efficient and professional. Dr Thomas Kang spent approx 8 mins with me on my first visit for a relatively complex condition. He provided no substantive answers but said he should do another test the next time. The next time, he spent less than 3 mins listending to my assessment of my condition, then had his asst schedule another test. I will find another ENT. Tori in Tucson, AZ

Dr. Kang is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate when it comes to his patients. I had three procedures done at once, which made for a pretty hard recovery, but Dr. Kang was so patient and understanding when it came to pain levels and comfort. I never once felt rushed through our appointments or left confused or with questions. I highly recommend Dr. Kang!

Don’t waste your time. Find another ENT.

I have only had the best care with Dr. Kang and his staff. They are all very professional and caring. I would highly recommend Dr Kang and his staff to anyone.

In the hands of other ENT's my difficulty, which was corrected during my visit, would have gone (I am sure) unnoticed by many other otolaryngologists. Dr. Kang and his staff are gifts to their profession.

A rare type of tumor my left nostril had to be removed. Dr. Kang was recommended by my primary physician, and I was very pleased with him as my ENT and surgeon. He has appropriate professional distance, but a calm approach to patients, which alleviated my worries. He's double boarded in ENT and plastic/reconstructive surgery and while the tumor had not penetrated enough to require plastic surgery, having an ENT who is double boarded made me more confident.

Dr. Kang surgically corrected my deviated septum. I thought the office was more money oriented than patient oriented. They overcharged me for the surgery and I had to wait three months to get a check from them, even though they demand payment in advance. The surgery still left a small lump on my septum, although he said he did the best that he could. The office staff are friendly and Dr. Kang does listen well but I would not recommend him.

Dr. Kang is very professional. He listens and is very responsive to suggestions. I had a lot of confidence in him and his abilities. He has great bedside manner and treated my surgery with great professionalism. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Dr. Kang surgically corrected my deviated septum (septoplasty) about 2 weeks ago. I am now breathing much easier and am very pleased with the results. He made sure I was educated on my non-surgical options and did not push surgery or over promise on what outcomes I could expect. I had no complications and am a happy patient. I have had surgery with Dr. Kang to make it easier for me to use my CPAP, and it was extremely successful. I have also been to him for ear infections and throat infections, and am currently undergoing allergy control therapy . Everyone within the practice is of the highest professional caliber, while at the same time being friendly and accommodating....couldn't be happier!

Dr. Kang corrected my deviated septum. I am now breathing much easier and am very pleased with the results. He also educated me on non surgical options and gave me realistic expectations for the results. I never felt like he was pushing the surgery. I am happy with my experience and would recommend him if you are considering this procedure.

I seen Dr. Kang 2 times I had a cas scan and showed my left check was full of mucus, it causes fullness to my ears, can not wear sunglasses as check is so full. M 2 nd visit he told me to get a hearing test and a hearing aid would help my fullness! Dr. Kang did nothing to help me get rid of the mucus in my check! I am now doing Actupuncture on my sinus which is helping getting mucus out, but a very slow process.

Dr. Kang is terrific. He worked on my nose, where I had a skin cancer, and did a great job. I strongly him. Charlie R

Dr. Amanda Kester is an excellent audiologist! She listens carefully to any concerns I have and no matter how minor they probably are in the grand scheme, she finds a way to tweak my hearing aids so that I'm able to effectively communicate with my 7 and 2 year old boys. She truly understands and goes above and beyond - including emailing her patients (me included) who have a newer model hearing aid that can be paired to an iPhone and she prepares us of upcoming changes to the phone's operating system and how it affects our hearing aids. She also addressed my concerns of TV watching with family and friends by introducing me to a "TV Streamer" that allows my hearing aids to pick up the audio from our TV. I am sitting here listening to the TV that's in another room right now while I'm writing this (commercial break - haha). :) The TV streamer has totally changed me watching/listening to the TV and feeling more "normal" again. Dr. Kang has performed plastic surgery on my nose twice for skin cancer and i couldn't be happier. He has amazing bedside manner and truly cares about the end result.

Dr. Kang was extremely thorough when helping diagnosis problem for re-occurring parotitis. He called and explained results. They always have a Dr. on call and get back to you ASAP if you need immediate attention. Cant ask for better medical attention. Thank you Dr. Kang!

Dr. Thomas Kang treated my girlfriend when he was at a former location. I accompanied my girlfriend on her appointment. Dr. Kang was very professional in his recommendations for treatment and ultimately was able to convince my girlfriend that there were other options than surgery. I am so glad that Dr. Kang and Dr. Lara have decided to open their own practice at Sunrise & Campbell.
