My daughter just had a spinal fusion done on Thursday 10-14-21 with Dr. Ritzman, at Akron children’s Hospital. I could not ask for a better surgeon he was phenomenal. My daughters surgery turned out great. I would definitely recommend him for anyone that needs to have surgery also in addition he puts all your fears at ease. He also has a great team to help him. 10/10 Recommendation. He fixed my leg, ankle and foot. Distal Tibia, Fibula and Talus Fixation. I thought I’d never walk again . I’m a little dramatic and worrisome but .. Still to this day ,6 years later I can call and get follow ups with any concerns or questions I have. I won’t go to anybody else !!

Dr. Ritzman still to this day, I will say he saved my life. August of 2009 I had scoliosis spinal fusion surgery. I was terrified. And in so much pain. I wasn’t able to play my senior year of any of my sports. Heartbroken I was tossing up whether or not to do the surgery and try to play the sports, in as much pain as I was. He spoke to me like a human, an adult, and we decided that the surgery needed to come first. My health, and my future needed to come first. I will never ever forget this man. 10+ years later I still think of how grateful I am that he went above and beyond for my family. Calming both me and my parents and assuring us that this was the right move. When I got pneumonia after the surgery, he checked up on me so much. He genuinely cared about me and my recovery. As I said. It has been over 10 years and I everyday think of how grateful I am for this man. If you ever read this Dr.Ritzman... thank you. You helped me more than I could tell you, and now I am a mother of 3 children myself! For any of their needs (hopefully by the grace of God they don’t end up with my spine but if they do..) we will be making the drive to you. My back has held up through a few falls off of horses, a terrible car accident, and so much more and that is something I am so grateful for. It changed my life and although being older and having bared 3 children my back could be far better, you gave me 10 years that I wouldn’t have had without you. Whenever anyone asks about who did my back and for recommendations, it has been and always will be.. you! Again from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for giving me 10 years with less pain than I had experienced in over 17. You gave me the gift of a better life, and for that, I will ALWAYS be grateful. Excellent physician with amazing bedside manor. He put my son's elbow back together on Memorial Day after a basketball dunk went awry. Hats off to these amazing Doctors and Nurses who help people on a day where many have the luxury of time off. Now we can rest easy tonight knowing the break has been repaired. Dr.Ritzman has taken care of both my children over the last 8 years. Just can not say enough good things about him and the treatment he gave to my children. He does a great job at relaxing children and parents. Afterwards he spends alot of time going over any questions you may have and does not rush into the next patient. The entire staff from check in to check out where very kind and always smiling which helps alot to calm the nerves of parents and the patients. Once again I just wanted to publicly thank Dr.Ritzman and Staff for the great care they provided to my children!!!! Very Grateful!!!! He is absolutely the best doctor ever. He made me and my daughter feel at ease about her surgery. I would recommend him to everyone. He talks to her and understands her questions and her pain. He made me believe the surgery would go well and she would be fine and that is just how it went. He is a very nice person and excellent doctor. I am glad he was her doctor. Dr. Ritzman is an amazing Doctor !!!! He performed my sons back surgery after a football injury. He and his staff arecAmazing!!!!! If your are in need of a great surgeon...... He is the one hands down!!!! In my opinion....Dr. Todd Ritzman is the best!!!!!!!

Todd Ritzman is amazing, he did my surgery for scoliosis a spinal fusion and 2 metal rods and screws .

He was great! I had a lower spinal fusion and everything went so well. He was very thorough in detailing the surgery to us and answering all of my questions. My healing process was fast and easy and the surgery was a big success. Because of Dr. Ritzman is can go on walks and live like a normal kid again.

He was absolutely wonderful with my ten year old son. He needed three pins after he broke his arm. Very friendly and knowledgable. I felt confident after speaking with him for just a few moments. So thankful that Akron Childrens has him on their pediatric orthopedic team!

Dr.Ritzman was wonderful with our 3 year old daughter. He explained the procedure and was very helpful and kind. He was awesome with her! I would highly recommend him! His staff was kind and very good with us and our daughter!
