Dr. Vanessa Coelho Marinho

Let me start by saying that Dr Marinho, herself is TERRIFIC! Caring, thorough, gentle...all that good stuff! However... This last round with her scheduling has been another story entirely. Exactly one month ago, I booked appointments for the 21st; a cleaning and exam/checkup on my implant. Since my coverage was to expire at the end of the month, I was also placed on a cancellation list. A few days after making the appointment I was offered a cleaning on the 7th...GREAT. Unfortunately, after my cleaning, I was told that they cancelled my appointment for the 21st. Why? Unknown. They reinstated the appointment. 2 hours before my appointment on the 21st, I got a call cancelling. Nice! After reminding them that my insurance was terminating, I was re-scheduled for the 27th. Guess what? Yup cancelled again. Twice in less than 2 weeks! The Office Manager actually had the gall to tell me, "...this doesn't usually happen but when it does it's probably going to happen to the same person." REALLY?!? Is that supposed to make it all better? When I repeatedly voiced my disgust for the complete lack of professionalism I was ultimately graced with a 12:30, re-scheduled appointment. 45 minutes before this "new" appointment, I received another call to reschedule yet again to 1pm. OK. THEN...at 12:37...AFTER I was already en route...I get another call cancelling altogether. Look, I understand that emergencies happen but how about some accommodation...especially for the guy you've already cancelled on and rescheduled. Sure, I was only willing to see Marinho - and not some general practitioner that I've never met - or vetted - or verified as a participating provider - but STILL! Squeeze me in later in the day. Or make an exception and see me tomorrow. I turned down other (IMPORTANT) meetings due to these appointments. There is no recourse. I can't bill Marinho's office for my loss. What is the point of appointments if you can't keep them...2 weeks in a row. Thrice in a day, for that matter. So disgusted! I was Dr vanessa marinho's patient for more than 5 years. Doctor and staffs are amazing. They deserve more than 5 star. Dr Marinho is very knowledgable and caring , listens problems and explains treatment options, answers all.of the questions. Hygenists were the best (my appointments were mostly with kathy and brookie). Both of them did such a fantastic job every single time. Office manager christine was fantastic. She made look everything so easy and smooth .Billing was very very transparent, everytime i called she picked up or called me back . Overall i always felt the trust and the homely atmosphere . Dr. Marinho is awesome! Very professional, very personable, and explains completely each step of the way. I have had totally pain-free experiences since I started visiting her office a year ago. If you’re someone who doesn’t enjoy the dentist but really can’t afford to ignore the problems with your teeth, I would absolutely recommend Vanessa and the rest of the team at Bellair Periodontics. I’ve probably been to every dentist in the west and east valley - and NONE of them enroll as much care, love, or kindness into their work as Bellair does. I came to Dr. Marinho with a vast array of issues, including crumbling and decaying teeth that I was incredibly embarrassed by. After being hospitalized from a severe fungal infection I started having severe problems with my mouth; and despite my urgency to get to a dentist, it seemed that every office i had gone to prior to Dr. Marinho really didn’t care nor were they concerned about my needs as a patient. Since finding this office I no longer try to hide my smile (although the amount of coffee I drink should probably make me want to) - but that’s okay, because they’ll probably help me with that as well! If you go here you won’t be disappointed. I give Bellair periodontics a 10 out of 10 on the teeth and love scale - i don’t know if that’s a good measurement of greatness, but to me, it’s all you could ask for with a dentist. I have been a patient since January 2015. I haven’t had the worst experiences with doctors. But I can tell you I didn’t enjoy going or getting my teeth cleaned. I was still going to my kids dentist at the age of 21 because I loved how gentle they were with my mouth. My mom kept pushing me to get my teeth cleaned after having my initial exam with dr. Marinho. I originally went because of some genetic issues that run on my moms side. I’m good, just a precaution. But my mom kept pushing me to go see brookie and have an adult dentist and hygienist so i finally went and brookie was amazing. She is super gentle and patient. After that i switched over to bellair periodontics for my teeth cleanings. Back then I wasn’t doing as well with my hygiene I’ll admit. Back in March i graduated from dental assisting tech school with the Air Force. As soon as I came back I got my teeth cleaning. This office is so amazing they even tried to help me find a dental assisting job. Back in July they ended up calling me and hiring me so I went from a patient to a patient and team member. This is an amazing office. Dr. Marinho really cares about her patients. That’s what I love to see in an office!! I have been a patient since January 2015. Because of the Corona epidemic my appointment with Dr. Marinho could not take place. She facetimed me on my phone and looked at my mouth. She was amazing! She realized I had to be seen so she called my Oncologist at the Mayo clinic and told them I need to be seen. Mayo told her they would set me up with an ENT and maybe a biopsy. This woman is totally amazing and as soon as They lift the Pandemic I will definitely go meet this wonderful woman. She went above and beyond!

I’ve had a many a hygienist in my 60+ years of getting my teeth cleaned, but Brookie is hands down the best hygienist I’ve ever had. She is simply the best!

I had quite of few issues with my teeth from an old skiing accident. Dr. Marinho and her staff fixed me up nicely with some implants. They are the best in town! Tod Long

Dr. Vanessa Marinho and staff are the best. I have been a patient of Bellair Peridontics for years and have found them to be caring, gentle, effective, and yes funny. I know going to the "dentist" usually isn't our most favorite place to visit however I have found that it is not my worst place to visit.

Dr. Marinho is a grade A professional! She and her entire staff go above and beyond on every visit to give their patients the very best care that they can possibly receive. The office atmosphere is friendly, extremely helpful, and kind. They are patient, efficient, and HONEST. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Marinho to anyone.

This review is long overdue. Best periodontics office ever. I have been coming here for over 13 years every 3 months to get my teeth cleaned (with nitrous). I am a wimp. Also early on had some gum surgery. The staff is great, friendly and courteous and all have been there since I have been going there.. Over the years I have been the victim of some really rough dental work but I look forward to going there. Thanks to them I at age 75 have really great looking teeth. Check them out. No worries about having to wait at this clinic. Front and back office staff are courteous and efficient and doctor is a highly skilled professional. We wouldn't trust our dental health to anyone else. Thanks to Bellair Periodontics and Dr. Marinho for my beautiful healthy smile. Dr. Marinho is tops in her field.
