Dr. Paine is a first-rate physician. He does not beat around the bush and he does not attempt to "fix what isn't broke".

Dr. Paine might be an amazing Dr. but I’ll never know... I called to make an appointment for a check up, seemed easy and strait forward enough. The receptionist answered the phone and passed me off to the office manager Brandy. After 20 minutes of what I would describe as 1980s video game music mixed with loud static every few seconds (I just sat the phone down because no one can listen to that) Brandy finally picked up. What followed was the weirdest exchange I’ve ever had trying to schedule an appointment… anywhere… ever. Brandy asked me my name and what insurance I had. Next she asked my birthday and why I was calling. I told her everything she wanted to know and then it seemed as if she was deciding if she wanted to schedule me or not based on what I told her?? She finally said I think we can take you and said she would call me back about the appointment…. nothing else. SPOILER ALERT… Brandy never called back. If this is how the front office is run I’ll just find a different place to go. Not worth dealing with all that. Had they just told me in the first place they weren’t taking new clients and not left me on the hook for a few days I wouldn’t have taken the time to write this review. I met Dr. Paine when my mother was hospitalized for a heart attack. He actually cared about her and not just for her. After 6 heart attacks and 3 strokes my mother passed on. He would later become my father in laws pcp until he too would pass on. A couple years later I needed to find my own pcp and I went to see Dr. Paine. When I mentioned my mom he knew exactly who I was talking about, he remembered her. He even went on to tell me if anyone had a will to live it was her and patients like her was why he had become a doctor. I knew than I found the right one. If anyone I knew was looking for a new pcp I would always tell them to check into Dr. Paine. You see any time I had an appointment he never once made me feel like I was just a number. He always took his time to explain things and answer questions. That is so important to any patient. Now almost 15 years later here I am looking for another doctor because of company policy. If you have regular insurance and miss an appointment you are charged a fee. If you have medicade and miss an appointment you are dropped. I had to cover at work because my boss was sick, who later was diagnosed with Covid. After making several attempts to call the Dr. Paines office to let them know I had to work with only getting a busy signal. My call didn't get through. I got busy at work because we are short staffed and by the time I had time to call they were closed. I received a letter in the mail I was dropped as a patient! I tried to call and explain and even pay their fee for missing the appointment and they would hear none of it. They won't except a payment because my insurance is medicade. I am so upset, this is so unfair. I now have to have to find another pcp. I am grateful him and Ben got me through Covid before I was dropped. Superior. Of all the doctors I have had in my life, Dr. Paine ranks among the best. Responsible, no-nonsense, attentive, and effective. Highly recommended.
