Dr. William Cox saved my life in 2006. I had a blockage and when he got to crestwood he had me in surgery and he got the stent in so quick and follow up visits are great!! I recommend him 100%•

Dr Cox was quick to diagnose that I had dialated cardiomyopathy. But, he didn’t do anything to find out the root cause. I asked how long I had to live and he matter of factly said, “10 years or less, see you in 6 months “ and left the room. Needless to say I was crushed. I had to tell my kids and family, which was both hard on them and me. I did not want to accept that I was going to die soon, so I started my own research. I also have Crohn’s and I discovered that a drug I had been taking, Humira, could cause an enlarged heart. Next, I made an appointment at UAB to see a gastroenterologist. I had a few tests and informed him of my enlarged heart and my concern about Humira. I asked if I should stop Humira since I was in remission and it was a cause of dialated cardiomyopathy. He thought for a moment and said that would be a good idea. Next step was to schedule a second opinion with the UAB cardiologist team. A few months pass, I had an echocardiogram and came back 3 weeks later to hear my results. With a big smile on Dr Chapman’s face, he tells me my heart is totally normal and I no longer had dialated cardiomyopathy. The lesson here is to ask questions and do your own research. If what you hear from one doctor doesn’t sound quite right, get a second opinion. I have a second chance at life due to asking questions and to the UAB cardiologist team. Thank you so much. Dr. Cox has taken care of my family for years . Excellent bedside manner ..... he guided my family thru difficult decisions . Highly recommend.

DR.COX'S STAFF IS RUINING HIS BUSINESS AND IS SETTING HIM UP FOR FUTURE LAWSUITS !!!! AVOID !!!!!

Dr. Cox has been my husband's doctor for years. He is a very good doctor and we would not consider seeing anyother Cardiologist.
