I wish the doctor is polite and kind to female patients

My daughter was a new patient and waited in a room about an hour with no explanation of delay by anybody in the office. Also, the doctor made my daughter feel insulted/ashamed when she could not come up with the name of the medication she was taking. Who could remember exact name of any medication if you are not taking it regularly? When I asked for the reason why there was no check/visit or explanation to my daughter when she was waiting in the room, the person who answered my call just repeated the same thing over and over, saying because she was a new patient. We provided all of the information including the insurance in 5 minutes after the appointment time. We've never waited more than a half an hour as a new patient without an update at any doctor's offices. This office with no professionalism deserves zero star and it's just too bad that there is no option to post it without a star. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone at all..

We arrived to the appointment and it was not in the system. The “person who checks insurance” was not there. It took 45 mins to check in. Then I was waiting over an hour and not even offered a water. (They have no drinking fountain) If you like to waste time, please make your appointment today and enjoy your disrespect.

The staff that answer the phone are always kind and understanding and get back to you fast. His staff are kind and make you feel comfortable and Dr. Aleksandr Podolskiy cares enough to listen and uses his medical expertise to help find patients solutions.

I love going to this office. Quick and professional service. Dr. Podolskiy has solved all my issues thus far. Office team is wonderful and with a sense of humor :) when needed. No fuss, no wait, no run-arounds. Love it!

At one point, I agreed that Dr. Podolskiy was a very nice doctor until he GROSSLY DELAYED contacting my mother regarding her lab work. Her lab work was done on a Thursday, and it showed her sodium level was super low at 114. Dr. Podoskiy didn't contact us until 3 DAYS LATER on Monday, after the weekend, because he didn't want to nor made the effort to immediately go to the office to get her phone number to advise her. He called me on Monday and i asked him why he didn't call us sooner... his response was because it was the weekend and he didn't have our phone number! UNACCEPTABLE as a DOCTOR. Dr. P knew this was irresponsible. It was completely Irresponsible on his part. By the time my mom went to the hospital, it was on Monday, which was three days after Dr. Podolskiy knew her results, THEN he finally told us to get her to the hospital immediately, by that time, her sodium level was now even more critically low at 107! She was basically in a state of a patient that had a stroke. HORRIBLE!! We thought it was her medication. I will never forget this! As a doctor with a patient in this state, knowing the dangers of having one's sodium level so incredibly low, this was a life or death state, and an emergency for which she should have been notified and hospitalized immediately on that Friday! Dr. Podolskiy did NOT make the urgent effort NEEDED to get her the care she should have received immediately. Also, he told me that he just didn't have her phone number and didn't FIND a way for him to go to his office or perhaps request one of his employees GO TO THE OFFICE to get it! It was a matter of life or death. She fell that weekend and it was downhill from there for my poor mom. It is NOT his fault that she passed 3 months later, however, her life possibly ended much sooner than it should have. Been seeing this doctor about ten years. Says what he thinks and not what you want to hear, I respect that in a doctor.

Dr. Podolskiy deserves 5 stars, his office staff deserves negative 10. He is kind and goes above and beyond for his patients. But his staff deter patients with their aggressive, controlling attitude. For that reason, I would not choose to be Dr. P's patient. If he had better office staff, he'd be my first choice.

Would give five stars but I usually end up waiting 30-40 minutes to be seen. Could be the time of day (lunch) but would be nice to be seen closer to my scheduled appt times.

Awesome Doctor, been bringing our family here since 2005, that’s when I first got out of the Marines. We moved to Texas in 2013 for work but still come back often to Vernon Hills for family visits. We also still come to Dr. Podolskiy's office for our medical needs. So even though we don’t live here anymore he’s still our Doctor. Highly recommend his office.
