I'm not much on visiting doctors or taking medical advice but I've know Dr David lensch a very longtime. He's very easy to talk to and he really cares about his patients. Had seen this doctor for years, simply because I had moved back to Rockwall and was unsure who to see, so I went back to his practice. I had a terrible, rude, upsetting experience every single time I saw him. When he was managing my epilepsy, he neglected to call in my medicine multiple times (despite me giving the office/him 5-7 days ahead of time). Going without one dose of the medication was dangerous. I ended up in ICU in Status Epilepticus (nonstop life-threatening seizures that caused strain on my heart for three days). The ER doc who had never seen me finally had to write the prescriptions for the two epilepsy meds, as well as an emergency rescue medication (all of which would have avoided had the meds just been called in). I kept seeing him only because I didn’t know who else to see in Rockwall. Epilepsy aside, he didn’t EVER give any credence to the many legitimate problems and symptoms that were ultimately indicative of a SERIOUS multi-system genetic connective tissue disease (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome). He first refused to send in a referral for any specialist. After my rheumatolgist saw me for the first time, she immediately sent me to face genetic testing done. I was diagnosed by a Harvard educated geneticist at UT Southwestern with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. By that point, I had accumulated a lot of irreversible damage over the years. He fought with me and continued to doubt/argue with the geneticist’s diagnoses (I mean, come on). It was horrible and depressing to be told over and over that my epilepsy and other diseases caused by the missed Ehlers Danlos Syndrome were psychological and not physiological. Just all in my head. Even when I scheduled a follow up appointment with him after being diagnosed to discuss the new diagnosis and management of the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, he was highly critical and suspicious, despite the fact that I brought my medical records to him. He refused to look at any of the records (again, why?), and actually had the audacity to tell me that since it’s a rare genetic disease, there was “simply no way” I had it. “Do you know how rare it is to have this disease? You simply don’t have it, sorry to disappoint you.” Unbelievable. To have a doctor gaslight a patient repeatedly for years by telling her that her multi-system genetic disease (with super specific symptoms only seen in this disease) were psychological over and over, and to ignore the warning signs for years was beyond unacceptable. He repeatedly disagreed with any specialist who saw me, even though the all agreed with the EDS diagnosis/updated my file with the correct information; his incorrect diagnoses psych diagnoses over the years were in my medical record at every Baylor Scott and White hospital I had to go to any time I had an epilepsy (or other) emergency, so their first route was to accordingly treat my symptoms as psychological. When they would run the correct tests/imaging/blood work, it ALWAYS showed physiological and not psychological problems. I switched to another doctor after years of this, having been written off and not taken seriously. I wish I’d known about her years ago. She never once questioned any diagnoses (especially those made by my geneticist), and she and her wonderful staff take care to take each symptom seriously/makes specialist referrals as needed. I’ve never, ever, ever had this problem with another PCP, specialist, or hospital doc, since my medical record was finally corrected. I’ve NEVER had this experience since. As if all that wasn’t a giant fail already, the people who manage medication refills usually took 4 or 5 days and multiple calls just to send in a medication refill. There’s no excuse for any of this, and I wish I’d know and switched to my newer PCP in the area who has treated me for the last year and a half long, long ago. He was truly a sour disappointment. Great experience each time I go!

Dr Lensch has always shown concern for my health and issues that occasionally arise. He is very easy to reach for answering questions I have. I made a great choice when I chose him as my Primary Care Provider.

Dr Lensch has been our family physician for about thirty years. He is one of the most knowledgeable doctors as I have ever met. He is also extremely carrying for for both his patients and his staff. His nurse Fatima of twenty years suffered a spinal injury that left her paralyzed from the neck down. Dr Lensch never gave up on her. He raised money to pay for her care and rehabilitation. He also had her home remodeled to allow her to go home. He never took her name plate off on the Nursimg station. With Dr Lensch you aren’t just a set of files. I trust him with the care of my family.

Been waiting for a while!! The ladies up at the front desk are chatting while we just sit here!!! When u have 2 kids they get restless just sitting there but NO ONE seemed to care!!!!! Might want to reconsider coming here!! They don’t seem to care about their patients!!!!!

The office staff is not helpful or friendly. They are listed as a provider on my insurance website the lady was put off when I called to give my information. Said it wasn't her problem and abruptly hung up the phone

A great doc with a great staff. He treats you like an individual person not just one more treatment room with a body in it.

Very friendly staff! Dr. Lensch is great doc that is very knowledgeable and listens to his patients. He has been my doctor for 5+ yrs and has never done wrong by me.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lensch for the better part of my life, along with him treating both parents and 2 of my grandparents. Dr. Lensch is an outstanding physician that will take the time to listen to your concerns, explain the reasoning behind his decisions and give you the best options for treatment while giving a clear, whole body picture of what is going on. I strongly recommend his servicss to anyone seeking premier medical care and as a primary care physician. Dr. Lensch has been our family doctor for 15 years. He is obviously a knowledgeable doctor and is personable, friendly, and thorough. He always takes all the time needed with his patients.

Worthless physician. Suddenly refused to refill anxiety meds so off of them cold turkey, which is absolutely not recommended. Never heard from Dr as to why or that I need another appt. Left msg with office and week later, still have heard nothing. This is straight up patient negligence!

I've been a patient of Dr. Lensch for over 10 years. Feel like I'm visiting a friend when I go see him. He is always personable and spends the time needed to make sure all my health issues are discussed and taken care of. I trust him without reservation to advise me regarding any malady.
