Dr. Gonino himself is great but his staff is absolutely awful. And since he is the head of the office he is responsible to overview if his office manager is not returning call and not fulfilling her job. They over charge me for no reason, my wife scheduled a yearly visit for me I did not visit Dr G since 2019 because of Covid and I was hoping to get a yearly visit for this year. Instead of a routine checkup which will be fully covered by my insurance they did an extended visit and asked me to pay $127. I have been calling billing Departement and requested to speak to office manager left her multiples voicemail with no response and each time I talk to front desk I was told she will call you as soon as she is available. Never got a call back or email to explain why they decided to charge me extended visit instead of a routine checkup. Dr. Gonino himself is great but his staff is absolutely awful. I was a patient of Dr. Gonino's for a couple of years. I only saw him one time, that was on the initial appt. He asked me to forego any other doctors I might be consulting in order to be his patient. When I got Covid 19 in July of 20, He refused to treat me, even though he was my only doctor, and I am certain he knew HCQ would cure C-19. Coward. Hypocrite. I found a true, brave doctor in Dallas who cured me and about 1400 other people in 2020.

Doctor Gonino himself is awesome! I really appreciate his approach to holistic health. They for sure helped me through some of my autoimmune struggles. However, the office staff is actually terrible. It’s very hard to reach them, they are slowwwwwww to answer voicemails, emails, and I’ve been badly treated on the phone. I had inquired to cancel my appointment through 2 voicemails, 1 email, and talking twice to a receptionist who didn’t have any knowledge to help me. If you don’t cancel 24 hours in advance they will charge you. I had tried getting a hold of them for a week. I finally got through to an Ashley, who works with scheduling, I mentioned I had had a difficult time reaching anyone and she hung up on me. Never been treated like that at a professional establishment. I’m very passionate about customer service and can assure you I did not raise my voice or treat Ashley in an inappropriate way. I literally told her how many times I had called and emailed and hadn’t heard back, and she cut me off, and said “see you at your appointment” and hung up. So, I do recommend Dr. gonino as a doctor...But I’m not sure you want to deal with the hassle of scheduling and trying to get ahold of them or request any kind of paperwork. Very disorganized. Best holistic Dr ever. I was diagnosed with all kinds of ailments and hurtful conditions from the Military and just wanted a more natural way and holistic way of healing rather than being pumped up with medicine. I went to Dr G and their staff is awesome, friendly, loving and caring towards whatever it is your going to them for. Our first trip to Dr. Gonino’s Center for healing was all we expected and more. Everything was seamless from the time we walked in to check out. We were able to accomplish a visit, labs and speak to the new patient coordinator to go over the care plan and supplements. Dr. Gonino educated us and made our visit feel very personalized. We are so thankful to be a part of his practice and look forward to healing and living life at an OPTIMAL level. Charged $200 for a canceled first appointment. Fraud. Never even saw the Dr. Or office for that matter. Never even filled out paperwork. STAY AWAY

Dr. Gonino himself is great but his staff is absolutely awful. Dr. Gonino put me on a safe medication that doesn't require follow ups as long as there is no symptoms. I called multiple times to schedule an appointment... no one called me back. I left messages... no one called me back. The third month and I go to fill my prescription and the office calls me telling me they won't fill it unless i go see them. I'VE BEEN CALLING TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AND LEAVING MESSAGES FOR 3 MONTHS. 3 freaking months. Now I won't be on my medication anymore bc i have to find a new Dr. Office. Talk about breaking their Hypocritic oath. Do no harm. They care more about money than the health of their patients. Overcharges and under-delivers. He preys on the fears of last resort patients. Got thousands of dollars from my parents with no results. Stay away!

He's a good man but has a terrible practice. Nurses rarely call back. His supplements are 100% markup over store cost. And the worst part is Dr. Gonino simply doesn't take the time to review extensive test data he himself requested. On next visits he would even forget about tests already done. I love this place. I love the therapies that are offered. While it may not be for everyone it’s every thing for some. I am thankful.

Scheduling can be tough at times because they're so busy, but my wife and I have benefitted tremendously from the Gonino Wellness Center. I'm a healthy individual and wanted learn more about what foods to stay away from and learn more about what's going on internally. I've sent my family members here too and they have learned more about their lifestyles and physical condition of their bodies. My wife and I completed the detox and noticed a lot of Improvements in energy. Dr. Gonino is a busy physician and so come prepared with questions or concerns. I went to Dr Gonino to manage my Progesterone since my current Dr retired. They did blood work and came back and told me my Progesterone levels were fine! Of course they were fine, I had been using cream to correct low Progesterone. I explained that if I stopped using it my symptoms returned. They refused to refill my RX! This was a wasted appointment. I also had a nurse that missed my vein when drawing blood at a previous appt; very painful. There is a high turn-over rate of employees.

I would strongly advise you to NOT book an appointment here. I was highly disappointed with the services offered here. Dr. Gonino failed to address my chief complaints. He did not take any time to listen to me at all and blatantly ignored any questions or concerns I voiced during my appointment. Instead, I feel that I was unfairly, pre-diagnosed with candida overgrowth - based on a four page questionnaire I filled out with my new patient paperwork. That is an utterly lazy and highly unprofessional way to diagnose any condition. I believe I was sorely under and misdiagnosed due to his short-cut method. I have had multiple tests for candida and parasites at other medical centers, and they all came back negative. It saddens me to think how many other people are being misdiagnosed, improperly treated, and scammed by Dr. Gonino. Unfortunately, The Gonino Center for Healing has the appearance of a business operation, rather than a medical center. Dr. Gonino's center has the atmosphere of a shopping mall. It is chaotic, busy and there are even advertisements for " Limited Time ONLY!" sales for his products, the IVs, and services. They are making tons of money off of selling people a surplus of supplements (many of which he formulated himself and all the staff members promote every time you visit). He also charges people to take a 1/2 day wellness class for $100. Not worth my time or money. I did voice my concerns to one of the nurses over the phone, letting her know I was unhappy with their services. She apologized in a professional manner, which I appreciated. I still feel it is of upmost of importance to bring my concerns forward to the public. I hope I can prevent others from the frustration, trauma and stress of questionable conduct. I would highly recommend others to seek treatment with another medical professional, NOT Dr. Gonino. I feel strongly that his so-called “Center for Healing” is a huge scam. If you do your research, you will find he has a number of complaints filed against him for improper medical conduct. I will be filing official complaints with the Texas Medical Board and other the Better Business Bureau. I highly encourage any of you have been wronged by Dr. Gonino to do the same. This is the greatest most caring doctor in the USA. He help me care for my wife who conventional doctors gave only 2 years. She lived 7 year until they got their hands on her the last year. Theres no way I could have cared for her at home without Dr Gonino. Thank you, thank God for you and all that you do.

Dr. Gonino is a man sent down to this planet with a mission. The Mission; to bring healing to the sick.. Four years ago, my son came to Dr. G. directly from a hospital, where he had gotten worse. With The Holy Spirits leading, Dr. Gonino saved his life with the wonderful therapies he administered to him. My son walks Iin Good health today, because of Dr. G. I Live eternally greatful to God for flowing through Dr. G..and his loving staff. It's not about money, its about Love, for LOVE HEALS!?

I would NOT recommend anyone to see Dr. Gonino. He diagnoses patients based on questionnaires (quizzes) you fill out prior to your appointment. He failed to fully address my chief neurological complaints, and ignored my questions. He also did not take a proper or accurate medical history, Overall, Dr. Gonino's methods are highly questionable and in my opinion lazy. Doctors should never, ever use quizzes to diagnose their patients. I feel he is a con artist. My time and money were wasted here.

After a hospital stay & being diagnosed with afib/atrial fibrillation in April 2016 & I went to Dr. Gonino & he has worked to get to the root cause of the afib & in my case it was sleep apnea. Thanks to Dr. Gonino, I am off the medications which caused numerous side effects & am feeling so much better. I have been a nurse for numerous years & have seen many physicians. Dr. Gonino is one of the few who is outstanding.

Disciplinary Action against V. John Gonino, D.O. Stephen Barrett, M.D. In 2013 and 2015, V. John Gonino, D.O., who operates the Gonino Center for Healing in Heath, Texas, signed mediated agreed orders to settle charges by the Texas Medical Board that he improperly treated five patients. The 2013 order (shown below), which settled charges related to four patients, states that (a) his records were inadequate, (b) he had failed to address the patients' underlying problems, and (c) he had prescribed "alternative therapies" without appropriate supporting laboratory evidence or informed consent. The treatment included chelation therapy and other intravenous infusions. The agreement required Gonino to revise his disclosure and consent forms, pass a medical jurisprudence examination, complete a record keeping course, and take continuing education courses in integrative medicine, billing, and ethics. The 2015 order settled charges that he had improperly treated a woman with metastatic ovarian cancer. The complaint stated that Gonino (a) said he would "detox her toxins as an alternative to chemo and radiation" and (b) had administered vitamin C, superoxide dismutase, coffee enemas, multicleanse, and chelation therapy, none of which were appropriate or effective." Because the fifth patient's situation pre-dated and was similar to the cases covered in the 2013 order, the board issued a reprimand but imposed no additionalk requirements and said that the action should not be considered to be an independent disciplinary action. Dr. Gonino has treated my family for years and we drive a long way to get to him. He thinks outside of the box, looks for the root cause of your illness and treats you like a patient, not a lab number. I have been so pleased with the way he has treated my autoimmune thyroid disease, Lyme & chronic illness and is one of the most progressive integrative practitioners out there. I've seen true healing of the whole person and multiple diseases in his practice. They are a busy clinic and things aren't always smooth but I'm totally willing to overlook minor inconveniences and follow up with a phone call if needed. I have been going to this facility for all my medical needs since I was in middle school (and they were in Rowlett). I haven't been overly thrilled with them for the last few years. I have been trying to find a holistic/alternative doctor since we moved to East Texas 2 years ago. My husband and I choose to use herbs & supplements to manage our health, rather than drugs. Before finding Dr Gonino, we tried 5 different doctors, who weren't comfortable with our supplements. Dr. Gonino is exactly what we were looking for in a holistic/alternative doctor! He is knowledgable, caring & listens to us. Our health is improving under his care. I highly recommend Dr. Gonino.

Every professionally-trained medical doctor will have hoops. The hoops most doctors will put patients through are those designed to benefit public health -- the hoops Dr. Gonino puts patients through are those he has realized (through understanding and experience) are beneficial to the patients - as individuals. We are all human, yes; but our care need not be based entirely on standards and protocols -- medicine is an art, and Dr. Gonino respects that.
