Dr. Yen is your typical BayCare physician. Very knowledgeable, caring and helpful. He listens and explains. Offers solutions and takes the time to make sure you understand treatments offered.

DR Eaton Yen, is the rudest and most unprofessional Dr. I brought my 86 yrs old mother who is total crippled in a wheel chair and he said things as horrible as , "you're only here because her primary Dr probably lost his pain med license. I am not a pill mill.Btw my mom is only on 1 pain med and she has been on it for 25 yrs. He then proceeded to tell me he has heart problems and will not make any promises he could be dead tomorrow. Then told me he needed all her paperwork. I said I sent it over 2 weeks ago.He never took time to review it. He is condescending and has no compassion. This so called pain management doctor is a Liar and a joke. I came to him for help and all that he did was falsely diagnosed me because he had no idea what was wrong with me. What I had was TIA. Instead he was focused on thinking that I was looking for Dilaudid and I just wanted help. You are no better than dennison and in some way You are worse! I will never Trust you for you are a Liar! Dr. Yen is the most compassionate doctor I have ever had the pleasure dealing with. Dr. Yen listens to and understands what he is treating and does an excellent job explaining every single thing to his patient. He goes to great lengths to make sure his patient does not suffer in pain. I have been a patient of Dr. Yen since around 2008 and have trusted him with managing my very severe post-surgical trauma/pain to my cervical spine. Johns Hopkins/Harvard trained. Dr. Yen and his staff are wonderful. Dr. Yen is extremely patient and listens intently when you are speaking to understand your issue. My daughter is 17 and is a patient of Dr.Yen's. We were recommended to see him when her dr at John's Hospital stopped practicing. To be honest, I was afraid of bringing her to see Dr. Yen due to the negative reviews. However, I must say, 5 stars are NOT enough! Starting with the office staff - Tabitha and Alize, they are absolutely AMAZING! Their kindness and compassion when answering any questions regarding insurance, making appointments, and questions in general have always been over the top incredible. Dr. Yen is very thorough, explains in depth treatment, gives different treatment options, and truly invest himself in the patient. He takes his time and we have never felt rushed. He has also been compassionate and kind, listening to what my daughter has to say about her pain and validating her feelings. We drive over an hour to see him and it's worth every mile! This Nut bag called me in the ICU at 11:30PM after spinal sugery to wake me up and lecture me on opioids. He new nothing about my past history. He actually asked me why I was there having surgery. Few days later another 11 PM WAKE up call to again lecture me on opioids. Like i was a child. Meanwhile I was in pain and thank God for my Prmary Doctor. The word QUACK defines him.

The last time I seen this quack I was out of pills for 2 weeks and I actually was on the news about how hard it is to get a pain prescription filled. I went to 40 pharmacies to no advail so he figured that I didn’t need my pain meds but the truth is if nobody has any the script is useless, so he had me come in and give me a adios script. I wish Godzilla would take care of him

They are the best

All he does is complain that I need to lose more weigh and exercise. Hard to do when you degenerative disc disease and arthritis.

First visit today. I'm veteran and I came here wanting to get away from the VA Dr's because it's hard to get in to see them and I just feel like they didn't really care or listen what I'm trying to tell them.. Well this changed nothing, I served my country 11 years purple heart recipient As a truck driver 4 deployments Iraq, my back is completely messed up.. My back problems started while I was in the military but always got pushed off to the side now that I'm out its been difficult to do things or even have motivation to want to do things cause of my back... I was told by Dr yen that I need to lose weight, try not to eat fatty foods and find a daily workout I can do... Like really my back pain didn't start hurting when I became overweight I was fit and 145lbs when I was in military.. And how can I workout if I'm in pain from the time I wake up. Instead he said I should talk to my VA primary care Dr about up my dosage on my Lyrica since I'm not taking the max dose and talk to them about chronic pain treatment plan... WHAT PART OF I'M TRYING TO GET AWAY FROM VA DR! Its crazy to me.. Dr Yen is very professional and spends time talking with patients rather then looking at the computer. I can tell he read my records and history before my appointment by the questions he asked. It is good to be with a physician that wants to help me and not just drop a bunch of pain medications on me. Basically a healer and not a pain pill mill. Was met with a kind and welcoming smile. Greeted immediately and proceeded with paperwork. After a short wait got prelims out of the way. Was welcomed to the practice as a new patient. Dr Yen was just as friendly and caring as he could be. Very thorough wanting to make sure he covered all of my issues. I’m so glad I found them! Thank you for the best care ever

I was hospitalized and was referred to him by hospital dr. This man can speak very little understandable English but I may not have caught much as he was talking so fast anyway. I as him to slowdown so he mocked me like I was a child and then said something and turned around and stormed out. I was later told that as he was leaving he said he was not approving anything for me and that was it! He was rude and judgemental and had no even seen my chart!!!!! Disgusting!,

Terrible doctor. Went to him for a few years only because I couldn't find another. He doesn't take notes, offers lame suggestions for your pain (told me once to use a Walker or to take ice baths for my pain), and seems insensitive in really meeting a patient's needs. Additionally, his drug urine tests cost me more than my cancer treatments! When I recently went to a neurologist who put me on medical cannabis he would no longer give me my pain patches and even cancelled my refill. It took me three weeks before I found a wonderful pain doctor in Tampa to continue my pain patch treatment and possibly Botox for my headaches since Yen's treatment was torture! Btw reader, I also suffer from fibromyalgia. Careful, because he has a sensitive ego. He does the same dumb pokey things to you every visit, "does this feel the same? I would not recommend this Dr. or his staff to anybody! I started seeing him in January right after my back surgery, they said they took my insurance only to find out 7 months later that they did not. I continued to see him and pay off my debt and he was always rude to me. I ran out of my prescriptions and took another that "he" prescribed to me and i got yelled at like a little girl. finally i went this past week and he would not see me unless i paid the entire bill off. Withdraws here I come

very, very good doctor. I read so many of the comments and I would like to say that 1.) it's mean to be racist just because you can't understand them, 2.) he may take a longer time due to the fact of ensuring that all his patients are well, 3.) all these rude, dramatic comments are just a waste of your time because these are only personal opinions. I am a patient that has been with this facility for many, many years so you would think that I've picked up lots of information from time to time

from Sept. 2016 to May 2017 I tried to get injections in my spine. I finally got an appointment in early May. When I arrived they had a referral to give me injections in my hips, not my spine. I personally think Dr. Yen's staff is unorganized and incompetent. I would not recommend his office to anyone.

Dr Yen sent me for an MRI which confirmed that i needed surgery. My Primary Dr. was going to send me for therpy which would have made my injury worse. Thank God for Dr Yen.

10/10 would reccomend. The doctor was efficient and very restricting on medication to make sure that nobody wounds up as a druggie. The environment is very welcoming and the staff is friendly.

Haha. He looks sweet in this picture, right? Problem is... #1: can't understand a word he says; #2: his wife 'runs the register'. She's quite rude, but she will make sure to collect your payment before telling you that... #3: he won't prescribe pain medication because he's convinced that you are a drug-dealing junkie. Would not recommend Mr. Yen to anyone, except those who want to waste time & good money enriching this jerk who is, at best, callous & indifferent to their suffering.

My partner had back surgery. Her doctor left for vacation the next day. This quack was paged for hours because of her severe pain. He would not talk or listen to her. He refused to call her personal pain management doctor she had for years.With the pain drip removed he insisted on giving her Vicodin which does not help at all. She called me crying in pain. I contacted the hospital. Another staff surgeon then stepped in and found that a screw had cracked a vertebra in half causing severe torture.

Absolutely not. The wait time on initial appointment for someone that is experiencing pain is inordinate, regardless insurance coverage. Office wait was never less than 3 hrs for all three visits.
