Dr. Helene M Dolce

TLDR: had a terrible experience at this office, my pain wasn’t taken seriously, and I had to go see another physician to get the treatment I needed. Really disappointed with my experience at this office. Typically I’m not the kind of person to write a review, but I’m hoping that someone will see this and avoid the excruciating pain and poor treatment I experienced. Dr. Dolce seemed nice at my consultation, although even with really good insurance the procedure would end up being roughly 2K and she doesn’t offer payment plans... but the day of my procedure was very different. The procedure took longer than expected which was fine, but afterwards she was very rude and blamed me for the procedure taking longer. I informed her ahead of time that I typically need more anesthesia and more pain management than the average patient. She ignored me, and I woke up during the procedure. She was then very rude on my way out, treating me as if it was somehow my fault that it took her longer than expected even though I was unconscious for the majority of the procedure. A week later I developed severe dry socket, and she denied me all medications besides clove oil. Two days later I was admitted to the hospital with severe pain and an infection. I had to see another doctor who finally prescribed me antibiotics and pain meds. It’s very clear that money is the only thing that matters here, and Dr. Dolce does not listen to her patients, and despite it being very expensive I ended up having to spend even more money because she wouldn’t do her job, and was forced to see another physician for excruciating pain. I don’t know if it’s because she’s used to working with teenagers and their parents, but she was extremely dismissive. The second doctor I saw quickly diagnosed me with dry socket as he could see the exposed jaw bone in my socket. Do yourself a favor and see another doctor for a consult, especially if you have any desire for pain management that’s more effective than clove oil. The two ladies that work the front desk actually have no clue what they are doing. Rude and make it a hassle every time you come in the office. Save yourself some time and money and go to a different dentist.

Wonderful Doctor!

I loved Dr. Dolce, her office and staff. They were all so helpful and nice. I will definitely be going back for any future surgery needs!

Had a procedure done with Dr Dolce and was very happy with my care. After referral, they got me in for an appointment quickly and were very thorough when explaining my options and pre and post surgical care. They gave me an itemized estimate of charges and the lady at the front desk was very helpful in contacting my insurance and letting me know exactly what I would be paying on the day of surgery. Everyone was very caring and kind and took great care of me! As someone who is very afraid of any type of dentist, I would definitely recommend this practice! Doctor Dolce removed the wisdom teeth on all of my children. They all did wonderful and recovery was easy.

Saw Dr. Dolce to have dental implants placed. Her prices are reasonable and she was in network with my insurance. I found her very pleasant and informative. Wonderful doctor!

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Dolce and her staff. Dr. Dolce is professional, calm, thorough and knowledgeable. My case was unusual and she took her time for the consultation and procedure. Her staff is friendly and caring. I also got a pre-determination that the insurance specialist submitted so that I knew what my cost would be ahead of time. Dr. Dolce is in network for my plan. I found Dr. Dolce's office very pleasant. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. The office was relaxing and clean. They were very upfront and honest about my insurance and what would be due. I don't know why the negative reviews are on here. My procedure was pain free and quick. I absolutely recommend Dr. Dolce!

Horrible condescending bed side manner. I had the audacity to question 1 component of the consent form that did not apply to our situation. We ultimately signed the form for the assistant. Dr. Dolce proceeded to yell at and scold me in front of my child for questioning the form and repeatedly threatened to deny my son the procedure despite the fact we had prepaid. Definitely seemed like money was the higher priority above the patient. Definitely One and DONE with this dentist. Remaining kids will delightfully be treated elsewhere. Dr. Dolce is phenomenal. Her office is calming, assuring and THE place to go to. I had great service and would highly recommend her and her team.!!!!!

Great experience: compassionate, professional, and a meticulous operation. I am very happy with the care I received and will see Dr. Dolce with any future oral surgery needs. The whole team was kind and very thorough in their process. I felt comfortable in that they communicated very clearly, covered every detail, and they were obviously experienced (very clean and systemic). They have everything I look for in a surgeon/ doctor. Dr. Dolce not only displays a high level of professionalism but also is a very compassionate person. Our family member recently required emergency surgery due to a critical illness and she didn't hesitate to offer her immediate service. We feel Dr. Dolce and her staff are so wonderful and supportive and are very thankful we were referred to her practice.

excellent CARE!! Removed wisdom teeth of all 3of my kids. NO complications, minimal post op pain! Highly recommend her!!

Wonderful Doctor! Had 2 extractions and billed to my insurance. Instead of a usual and customary insurance rate they hammered me for nearly $900. Had to cancel followup work and go with a clinic that does not have an unethical billing clerk. Be forewarned, they do not work with discounts. If money is not an option Dr Dolce is an expert, pain free physician and I deeply regret not being able to have her finish the work. Sad in Antioch :-( Wonderful Doctor! Wonderful Doctor, terrible billing dept. My insurance was declined after the procedure. $450 per tooth, paid in full is too much! The clerk wouldn't work with me at all to accept the highest usual and customary fee paid by insurance. I would have to give them $1250 in cash to proceed on 2 more extractions. Other clinics are happy to take $200 per tooth with free xrays and consult. I'm very disappointed to not be able to have the excellent work of Dr. Dolce. live and learn :-(

I would NOT recommend Dr. Dolce. I had a 7:00 AM confirmed appointment for tooth extraction and 2 dental implants. Dr. Dolce was a referred to me by my dentist. My dentist as well as Dr. Dolce's office confirmed the appointment. DR. DOLCE FAILED TO SHOW UP AT THE APPOINTMENT TIME AND THE OFFICE WAS LOCKED. FURTHER, 2 CALLS INTO DR. DOLCE'S ANSWERING SERVICE INDICATED I WOULD GET A RETURN PHONE CALL - DR DOLCE AND STAFF FAILED TO RETURN THE CALL FOR 45 MINUTES. I went home.

They want to find all possible ways to charge you more money. Some of the services are not needed. Not very honest.
