I have been a patient of Dr. Maizes for over 13 years. I have COPD. He has done wonderful things for me, and I know my life span has been extended because of him. I trust him implicitly.

My visit was on Jan 25, 2022. Staff was helpful & friendly. Dr Maizes listened to my health concerns & discussed with me various forms of treatment to help my medical condition. I was very satisfied with the level of service I received from both Dr Maizes & his Staff. Nadine A

Terrible staff. My grandmother has pneumonia and has been trying to get in touch with this office because she needs a new prescription. They have no appointments until a month from now which is understandable, but they do not answer the phone. My grandma has left numerous messages trying to get in touch and they have not gotten back to her at all. Today, she finally got a hold of the office and Dr. Maizes medical assistant, Nina, answered the phone. Nina showed 0 class while speaking to my grandmother and was yelling at her that they have no appointments and she should “go to the hospital if it’s that serious”. I was livid to hear her be spoken to the way this lady was speaking. This lady needs to be FIRED! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR OFFICE! THEY DO NOT RESPECT ELDERLY PEOPLE AND DO NOT CARE TO GET BACK TO PATIENTS IN A TIMELY MANNER ! Terrible staff. I waited 3 weeks to get to see him, He was late and very arrogant, He is very impressed with his position with JFK. I then waited 2 more weeks to get my sleep study done. I then waited another 4 weeks to get an apointment to have him go over my test results. He could not find them or give me a copy. When I did get to see the doctor, he only could give me the results verbally. I than requested that doctor Maizes please forward my results to Aero Care, as well as my primary care doctor with an Rx to adjust my Bi-Pap settings. I followed up with multiple calls to his office and finally got to his office manager, who was very arrogant. After yet another week, I had to go back to his office to get a copy of my sleep study myself. It is now over two months since I started with this incipient doctors office and uppity doctor and to date (over 2 months) they never sent out the test results (sleep study) or a prescription to anyone! Staff can't tell left from right. Dr. seemed rushed off his feet and didn't really take the time to explain my condition to me.

Front office friendly and efficient. Dr. and nurse handle all requests quickly. Dr. Maizes answers all questions and concerns. Great bed side manners.

I have visited Dr. Maizes several times and have been very pleased with each one. Despite being obviously busy, he takes time to listen to concerns and issues and advise on the correct treatment. His office is easy to schedule with and have been very responsive to RX refills or even emergency weekend RX's.

My mother was a patient of Dr. Maizes for many years. In 2017 he saved her life. After being under Hospice care for 2 and 1/2 years she has now been released from Hospice. Needing oxygen Dr. Maizes has examined and determined she still needs oxygen and notified Medicare. We received the oxygen machine very quickly with no complications. Thank you Dr. Maizes for you for all your expertise and kindness. You have set the Gold Standard with your care.

No one calls you back. I have made 12 calls trying to get tests results from over a month ago and I can’t accomplish this. I now want my records so I can switch to a medical practice that responds to their patients. I don’t if I will get them.

dr maizes's office is dangerous to your health. he wasnt interested when his meds wee killing my stomach.his office didnt inform him when i was in the hospital! my neighbors brought meds to help me when he ignored my pain

For several weeks I have been trying to find out if I must take another CT Scan. Dr. Maizes was treating me for a medical condition and offered some suggestions. Now, It is difficult to get his office to inform me of my course of action. Doctor was good, very thorough but no bedside manner. Front office staff was extremely rude and not helpful at all.

As a pulmonologist you couldn't ask for a better health advocate. He helped me when no one else would take my case. I had a complicated PE with asthma that I grew out of when I hit adulthood. My tests were so bad that he didn't think I would honestly regain function in that ling ever. After 6 years I am back to normal pulm function with his help. I credit this all to him, and to top it off if I have a chest infection - he sees me with in 1-3 days depending on the severity. He is a great doctor

Excellent physician with a very caring attitude.

Extremely poor follow-up. Had three visits over 4 months and still have not received CPAP treatment. Go directly to directly sleep specialist. Don't waist your time.

I have sleep apnea and use CPAP. Waited almost 7 weeks for an appointment for the doctor to tell me I had to wait another 4 weeks to seem him again so he could get my CPAP machine data. First of all, why can't you do this in your office? Second, if you needed to get the CPAP machine data, why wasn't that done before I came in?
