Schoonmaker and everyone at Valley Medical Center was great! Provided great care when I was feeling under the weather.

The best practice I have ever been to. From day one, they were welcoming and caring. The front desk staff is so kind. I have never felt like I was just another patient which has happened at plenty of practices. I am sooo happy I found them. Everyone who works here is amazing!

Dr. John L. was referred to me by a friend and I have been so grateful for him and his entire staff, they have always treated me very graciously. They are very punctual, I have never had to wait. When I call to make an appointment they get me in quickly with lots of time and day availability. He has been a wonderful advocate for me & my health concerns. I never fill rushed or placated. The wait time was around 2 or 3 minutes. The nurse was great as well as the doctor. I would highly recommend this office and doctor. They explained everything well.

My wife is a patient of Dr. Schoonmaker and has nothing but problems with him and his staff; wont give her a disabled pack thru the DMV,although she walks with a cane; office staff could care less about patients wellness as they set appointment for a blood draw,but DONT fax over records or information on patient..this has happened MORE than once..HIGHLY RECOMMEND finding a competant Dr and staff !! The front office is very attentive, easy to make appts and always able to get an appt in a relatively short time. Everyone is friendly and very professional. The staff is very responsive to return calls and Dr S is very helpful, professional, supportive and always listens to concerns. Very happy with as a patient.

Greatest person / doctor ever

Dr. Schoonmaker was nice. However his staff , mainly his assistant is horrible. Very rude , lacks experience, unapologetic. She made several serious mistakes regarding my medications, labs . Dr. requested tests be done , she never gave me paperwork. I liked the dr. But unfortunately having to deal with his assistant was definitely the reason I switched Dr.s.

I work for this MD and I cannot even began to tell you how awesome it is to work for such a humble person. I have worked with 5 different doctors from different practices and he is energetic, patient and a team player. I am proud to work with such an individual.
