Dr. Raymond A Shelton

I have been seeing Dr. Shelton for about 4 years now. He is not only incredibly knowledgeable and always staying up-to-date with medications and technology to help your eyes, but he is such a kind, caring, patient educator. I always feel better after seeing him. And, of course, he has helped improve my vision and is always honest about the limitations and what we can or can't do. I am immensely grateful to be in his care.

This SOB not only blinded me but completely abandoned me as a patient when it became obvious he had screwed up the procedure. Instead of ordering a vitrectomy to remove the lens fragments he left behind he ordered 3 months of steroids which left me with glaucoma. I used to think there were medical boards that enforced some minimal standard of care, but there are not. DO NOT LET THIS MAN NEAR YOUR EYES! The doctors are good. The customer service is TERRIBLE. You call Pasadena you end up in Redlands. No one returns your call.

Outstanding, Knowledgeable, skilled and explains his treatment plan in detail. Communicates well and encourages his patients to speak freely regarding the course of action and ask any question or express any concerns they may have. Down to earth demeanor instills a sense of comfort as well.

Grossly unprofessional, rude, offensive, uncontrollable anger, by far one of the worst doctors I have seen. The day of my Cataract surgery while in bed waiting for my turn, he approached me with significant attitude and had I asked him a question, he was ready to put his fist right on my face!!!! Zero, I mean zero professionalism. I have reported my experience to Medicare and he was disciplined. Avoid going to him you just never know where he is emotionally. I think he needs professional help.
