Dr. Vadim Gurvits

Dr. Gurvits and his staff have truly changed/saved my life. I had a severe opioid addiction for three years and when I tried to get clean, I could not find a place that could prescribe suboxone that would take me because nowhere would take my HMO BlueShield insurance and wouldn't take me as a cash patient. Thankfully for my life, Dr. Gurvits' office takes cash patients and at a very reasonable cost. I transferred my care to this office after over a year with a more intensive sobriety program through the county, and am still a patient here. Dr. Gurvits is extremely caring, compassionate, accessible, patient, understanding, etc. If you are struggling with addiction, I highly recommend Dr. Gurvits and his team.

I was seeing Dr Gurvits for several reasons including weight reduction. Before the exam started I received an EKG. The EKG diagnosed Afib over 198 beats per minute. He explained that I only had two options, go to the hospital or death. I was terrified and tried to find an easier way but there wasn't any. Doctor gave me the strength and answers I needed to check myself into the hospital where I was put to sleep so my heart could be shocked into a normal rhythm. Dr Gurvits SAVED MY LIFE!! And today...one month later, I have lost 30 Lbs using HGH. He even helped me with a affordable discount for the medication. He regularly sends his staff to trainings so he can be on top of all the latest equipment and procedures. I’ve had numerous co2 lasers and other skin procedures done by Dr Gurvitz. I went in to get filler and Dr. Gurvits was very kind and gentle . I had gone in to re due my old filler because my old doctor had messed it up. Dr. Gurvits fixed it and I will be going back to get touch ups.

Dr. Gurvits helped me overcome my drug addiction and gave me a new shot at life! After some blood work, Doc noticed my hormone levels where lacking so he recommended bio-identical hormones. It’s not cheep, but I think I’m worth it…I mean my wife spends money on Aesthetic treatments for her face, so why not spend the money on something that turns back time and gives me the energy and strength I was lacking at 40? This has been an incredible year. The testosterone and HGH has given me energy, helped me loose weight and gain muscle and increased my libido. I went to Dr. Gurvits about 8 yrs ago for my opiod addiction and I was a mess. Fast forward 7 years and I am a new man. I'm 56 yrs old and I was complaining of no energy and apathy. Dr. Gurvits handed me a really thorough blood test and it came back I had a sluggish thyroid, very low testosterone, and low HGH production. I am on my 2nd round of testosterone and I am 67 days into HGH replacement and I feel like I'm 30 yrs old again. I feel like I have joined the elite. In response to the review I left where the owner responded by saying I was rude: how do you respond to the fact it's been over 2 weeks and STILL you never bothered to contact insurance for a pre-authorization? 2 weeks I've been unable to fill a prescription from your office with ZERO assistance from you. Yet I'm being rude?

He's a good Dr. I don't know why people want to complain but he actually has genuine concern for his patients. He listens and answers anything you want to know or need to know. If your looking to clean and start fresh he's the one to go to

Dr. Gurvits is a super humble, chill, relatable guy. I didn’t feel judged at all, and he gave me some really great advice and also gave me the prescriptions I needed to get off of heroin. The office staff is really nice and I have had nothing but good experiences since I’ve been going to him

My husband and myself are very disappointed in services and complete lack of ethics in this office.

Not much to say, neither good or bad. I had him as a doctor back in the 2000's until 2008. He did his job as a doctor.

This place saved my life. I've been addicted to opiates and heroin for 10 plus years. The suboxone treatment saved my life. Its been 9 months with no relapses. I had searched around Riverside County for an Addiction Treatment Center right for my fiancé. I was hesitant about this clinic at first based on some of the reviews but luckily for us, I hate to go by what other people say and went in as a walk in anyway. My fiancé has been a heroine addict for over 10 years consistently and is his first time receiving treatment. Dr.Vadim Gurvitz, starting with his staff, gave us both a wonderful starting experience. Dr. took his time to assess my fiancé and started him on a treatment plan immediately. I will be following up with more updates moving forward. Worst Dr. Ever! Quackery at best!

"DO NOT GO HERE!! Went in for spider vein treatment & came out with A BULLET SIZE WOUND & now PERMANENT scar on my calf! I had to go to the ER a few days after my treatment for a giant black gaping hole in my leg! Then I had to see a wound specialist twice a week for 3 months to try & fix the nickel size whole in my leg. I am left with an awful scar. And after all that, I had to pay again for another Doctor to treat my spider veins and try to fix what this doctor did to me. AWFUL ..... I would rate this Doctor a 0 star if possible. He would not see a little child because he was going to lunch. She was PASSING OUT and he told the receptionist to tell them to go to ER. Maybe an ambulance should have been called for her. Why the Doctor couldn't have looked at her for a few minutes is questionable. Stay away!!!! AWFUL ..... My son goes to this doctor. They open at 9am but Dr Gurvits isn't scheduled to come in until 10:30am! He doesn't care he makes people wait. Why would an urgent care open without someone to see patients? His PA is only there certain times. This has happened more than once. All he cares about is the money.

Dr Gurvits is a very very good doctor

Dr Gurvitz is thorough patient and has great bedside manner.

If you or someone you know is dealing with the disease of addiction Dr Gurvits is by far the most caring doctor you will find in Southern Ca. In addition to every visit with him, included in already the lowest price in the area is a 30 to 45 minute consultation with an addiction counselor who is in recovery himself so he get's it.

I have no idea why there are these negative reviews for this incredible doctor. I never leave reviews online, but after seeing these clearly "agenda-driven" baseless reviews desparaging a doctor who is one of the rare ones that cares more about his patients than he does about his ego, or getting rich. Dr. Gurvits has treated me not only with incredible skill, understanding, compassion and a genuine concern for my well-being, but he does so at a price that is a fraction of what he could be charging patients for the services he provides. I have been to clinics that purport to offer services like Dr. G. does... some of these doctors have been literal criminals, others running illegal operations to get rich by requiringn patients to fill their expensive drug prescriptions at the pharmacy next door where there was clear (illegal) profit sharing between the two "separate" businesses... to others that recklessley overprescribed medicinne to me that, had I taken it in the amount prescribed, I would have been in a severely worse condition than before even going to that doctor. Instead, Dr. G. spends as much time as needed with me every visit to actually talk to me and listen to what I have to say, and to thoughtfully and practically prescribe the medicine(s) best suited for my exact needs and conditions, and at dosages that are effective to help with my medical issues while not over medicating me or giving my body more than needed to achieve the goals that we set out for me fromt he beginning. In fact, I drive almost two hours each way to treat with this doctor, when there are hundreds of similarly qualified doctors just miles from where I live out here in the hollywood area. In addition, his staff is incredible as well. For example, I received two calls on a Saturday from an incredibly kind and caring gentlemen wroking at his office who was calling to assist me with a problem I was having with my insurance in getting my expensive medicine covered so I wouldn't have to pay for it. It was due to this extra and rare effort and considertion from this employee and the doctor himself in taking the consideraable amount of extra time that they did to jump through hoops with my insurance company to help me, that I continue to get my medicine all covered in its entirety so I have zero out of pocket. I have had similar issues arise with other facilities I treat at, and the staff and doctors have either refused to take the necessary time to help me or literally been to incompetent to comply with the insttructions and requirements of my admitedly difficult insurance company when it comes to getting certain medicines covered. If people do not see the good in Dr. Gurvits or his staff, there is almost certainly an issue that is being created by them, not the doctor or his office. I know I do not know all the facts for everyone's experiences, but I do know what it is like to treat at bad clinics, with doctors who do not really care about the well-being of their patients, and have staffs that are equally rude or callous with patients, even patients dealing with horrible struggles and trials and tribulations that make such poor service that much harder to deal with. This is just not that place. I couldn't be happier with the care I receive, the incredibly reasonable fee I pay for each visit, or the personalized treatment Dr. Gurvits has provided me thus far. I saw the doctor for spider vein treatment. I ended up with a nickel size gaping wound in the back of my calf. I had to go to the ER and then see a wound specialist for three months to try to heal it. Now I have a nickel size scar on the back of my calf and had to pay another doctor to fix my spider veins.

Dr. Gurvits and the on staff Counselor Mr. LaMar are both very dedicated to helping their patients, you just get the sense they genuinely care. The entire staff is friendly and ready to help no matter what the issue is. I very much appreciate how kind they are to my son who can get nervous and bored at the Doctor. I absolutely recommend them. They are also fairly quick.

I originally went to Dr Gurvits for the flu, which he successfully treated. During that visit he asked if I ever wanted to be treated for my obesity and weight loss let him know, which I decided to try. I had my labs done and the results came back saying I was very low in many areas, especially Testosterone. I agreed to do what is called Pellet Insertion. He inserted 12 pellets into my rear end. 2400mg! For $850 and another $400 in supplements. Long story short “I GAINED 10Lbs in 3 weeks. and had extremely high BP 211/104 that I had to go to the ER. Buyer Beware!!!

Worst Doctor I ever had. Completely inconsiderate of other's time- we had to wait two hours for a scheduled appointment. Then once we were in the room, he made us wait almost ANOTHER hour. And when I had to call another appt I had to reschedule, he YELLED at me about it. So I lectured him about being considerate of other's time, and if he had been, I would not have had to make that phone call, and he stepped out for another half hour. When he did come back, he had no sense of personal space. Then, a month or so later, when my daughter had a severe episode that meant an ambulance ride and 5 hours in the ER, we were told to get into our PCP the next morning, and when I called, I was told they could not see us for THREE WEEKS. Dr. Gurvits is an awesome doctor; he is the only person that hasn't given up on me throughout my battle with chronically relapsing on hard drugs. He always tells me that he will work with me for as long as it takes for me to get better. His style does take some getting used to, but he is always upfront about his professional opinions on what I need to do in order to achieve my goals whilst being treated by him. He doesn't tell you what he thinks you want to hear, he tells you what you NEED to hear, which, can be painful at times. His job is to help me stay off drugs [not sugar-coat anything] , and in turn, become a better person. I would most definitely recommend dr. Highly recommend. I drive 2 hours to see Mr. Gurvits once a month. If you are struggling with opioid addiction he will walk you thru the process of recovery and listen to your issues. Very well mannered and down to detail. I found him by chance and it saved my life. Seeking help for any issue is difficult and he makes you feel welcome. Nuff said and good luck

I began seeing Dr Gurvitz when he was a Sun City urgent care doctor setting up his own local family practice. Had him for many years until I retired, went off Blue Cross and he no longer accepted basic Medicare patients. Had no complaints, he was punctual with appointments and was always spot on with diagnoses and prescriptions.

I walked in by chance, a life changing experience. A physician with a very gentle bed side manner and always willing to listen. He is always thorough in his work and his treatment plans. From the moment I entered his office my physical and mental health drastically improved. If it had not been for Dr. Gurvits, I would not be where I am today.
