When I came to Dr. Sheynin I was in very poor health and very discouraged. Upon meeting Dr. Sheynin, I was immediately impressed by the amount of time he spent listening to me and thoroughly documenting my health concerns as well as offering me encouragement that things would be turned around. Things have indeed turned around for the better. At 59 I am feeling healthier and better than I was at the age of 39! I would recommend Dr. Sheynin to anyone in need of thorough, empathetic, caring physician that extends personal devotion and commitment to his patients.

This office is so disorganized. They are also stuck in the 90s in terms of technology and processes. I have to have a fax number to get information sent to me? Also, I have to get an appointment to get a TB test request for school? Alternatively, I can just walk into a CVS or Walgreens and do the same thing.

During the appointment he took a phone calls several times to discuss golf with another patient. One call was over 15 minutes long while the nurse and I sat there awkwardly waiting. The other appointment, I had to wait over an hour in the office past my scheduled appointment time. I will not come back.

Very rarely have I waited longer than 15 minutes for an appointment. Dr. Sheynin gets you in and out within another 15 minutes. He gets you what you need, and it doesn’t take forever to get an appointment. Highly recommend

Dr. Sheynin is by far the Best Doctor I have ever had. When I turned 65 I had to find a Doctor that worked with Medicare and I lucked out when I found Dr. Sheynin. During a routine checkup while cleaning wax from my ear he noticed a small crease on my earlobe. Without alerting me to his suspicions he suggested that I go and get a CT scan of my heart and showed me a hospital that had a $49.99 selfpay special. Up until this point I had no knowledge or symptoms of any heart issues in my family history. As it turned out I had serious Blockage in my arteries and ended up getting a stint put in. Like the tv commercial says the first sign of a heart attack or a stroke is a heart attack or stroke. I was a walking time bomb. None of my other Doctors had caught this issue because there were no symptoms. Besides probably saving my life, Dr. Sheynin spends a lot of time talking with his patients and more importantly listening to them. He truly cares !!!!!!!

Listens, empathetic, thorough

Wait time is horrendous, they should not be accepting new patients when they can't handle their existing load. If your looking for new PCP don't come here, you'll wait at least 1hr+.

No availability left open for sick appointments. When I called advising I was very sick and needed to be seen, and that I had chosen Dr. Sheynin based on reviews etc, I was told even with him selected as my HMO PCP I could not be seen. Needless to say, I have changed my PCP, don't have that issue.

Great team!

Rarely do I have the time to write a review but I can honestly say that this one is worth the time. Dr. Boris Sheynin is the needle in a haystack doctor that everyone looks for. I came to his office to identify and diagnose an issue that causes extreme abdominal pain followed by vomiting and nausea. The pain that arises when the episodes present themselves are so terrifying that for the last 5 years eating food has been accompanied with anxiety because of the fear of them being related. The episodes of abdominal pain have only occurred 7 times since 2013 and since then I have had 3 gastroenterologists along with three emergency room doctors (all on separate visits) look at me. ALL of which have either misdiagnosed me or couldn't diagnose the issue at all. Based on my symptoms Dr. Sheynin ordered a set of blood tests (none of which the previous doctors thought about ordering) that came back showing that there might be some type of inflammation brewing in my body. Based on the results he immediately ordered a CT scan of my abdominal/pelvic region. The results of the scan were called in the same day and Doctor Sheynin called me into his office immediately to discuss my results and treatment options. I ended up being diagnosed with chronic appendicitis. With surgery already scheduled I am looking forward to the conclusion of this 5 year journey of the unknown. Dr. Boris Sheynin cares about his patients. He doesn't waste any time ordering the necessary tests, relaying the results to his patients and putting a treatment plan in motion. He is an amazing, kind, and caring doctor that sits and listens to his patients concerns even if it takes an hour. He explains everything thoroughly and does so in a way his patient can understand (without the doctor jargon). Thank you doc for everything you have done for me. P.s: His staff at the office are amazing and friendly people who respect the patients privacy and are extremely organized and efficient. Dr. Sheynin is a wonderful person and Doctor, he is very concerned about his patients an he listens to what they are talking about an see how he can help fix it, I recommend Dr. Sheynin to any one who needs a Doctor that care, specially the elder. He is a very blessed an a special person

Dr. Sheynin is a very compassionate and dedicated doctor. I have been seeing him about 4 years. When needed he spends the time to explain the medical problem and gives answers that a lay person can understand. Dr Sheynin is quick to answer questions by email. The staff is courteous and friendly. My only complaint is the selection of magazines which is basically non-existent.

Dr Sheynin takes care of my Mom at Lieberman, or at least he saw her there once. Recently she was admitted to the ER at Skokie hospital for observation. The PA was suppose to call me after she saw my mom the following Mon but she never called. I signed my Mom through Illinicare to have Sheynin be her primary. I hope we can have better communications from now on. Dr Sheynin takes care of my Mom at Lieberman, or at least he saw her there once. Dr. Sheynin is a wonderful and caring doctor that always has enough time to explain any questions that you might have without rushing you out the door. Very nice manner and took care of me very well. Quality care !!!

Dr. Sheynin is a wonderful doctor and I'm so glad to have him as my primary care physician. He has a great bedside manner and takes his time with explaining complicated medical issues in very simple terms. I actually enjoy going to the doctor because I know that I'm in very good hands.

I have undergone a multitude of tests, from CTs, to MRIs, to the discomfort of a Lumbar Puncture. All in the pursuit of a diagnosis for a Neurological condition. My symptoms began in Tucson, Arizona where I was unhappy with the level of care I was receiving. Upon returning to Chicago, I was told about Dr. Sheynin by a family friend who has been seeing him for a number of years. I set up my first appointment the week I got into town, and was pleased to discover that he was able to see me within only a few days. Its been a few weeks now since that first appointment, and because of Dr. Sheynin, I have seen more specialists and have received more of the necessary testing in that short time, than I did the nearly three months I was under a doctors care in Tucson. Dr. Sheynin and his staff are courteous and prompt, and Dr. Sheynin takes an interest in his patients that I have not experienced elsewhere.
