Dr. Erin Arnold

I went to see Dr. Arnold for about 2 years, she was kind and compassionate and heard what was going on with me having RA symptoms. She was on top of my bloodwork and treatment plan and would often check on the patient portal. I completely understand the reasoning for needing to have everyone updated on Covid vaccines and vaccines in general, due to this being a place with high volume of immunocompromised /suppressed patients!!! Its not to upset anyone but to keep those patients safe and if keeping other patients safe and requiring vaccinations upsets you then maybe you should look somewhere else. I appreciate Dr. Arnold ensuring that her clients are kept safe and taken care of. As for the credit card policy it sucks but I get it, it’s to ensure people pay their bills and keep appointments can’t run a business if people keep no call no showing or stiffing you on a medical bill now can you. ????

Dr Arnold is an excellent physician and I have been her loyal patient for over 4 years now. She's compassionate, caring and very knowledgeable. She treats her patients with uttermost respect and always makes me feel welcome and cared for. The office staff is also very responsive and helpful. Dr Arnold has the latest technology and is able to run all labs and tests from the office eliminating the need for extra visits elsewhere for labs or X-rays/ scans. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Arnold for over 5 years. She has played a major role in diagnosing my autoimmune issues and finding the best treatment for me! She is patient, an active listener, excellent Communicator and advocate.

Can't even begin to rate this Dr. since she won't see me because I'm not vaccinated. Unbelievable. She is obviously not the Dr. for me if thats how she feels. Didn't even bother to ask me why I made my own personal health decisions. Wonder if she ever looks at VAERS!

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Arnold. She denies care to new patients due to covid vaccine status! Completely unethical by doctor standards. SHAME! What about all the people without measles and DTAP and whooping cough vaccines? Are they going to be denied medical care too?

My husband sees Dr. Arnold, and always comments on the kindness of her staff and the care he receives. I've been a patient of Dr. Arnold's since 2014. She is the 4th rheumatologist I've seen, the most knowledgeable, and the physician who has provided me with an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for my Rheumatoid Arthritis and Sjogrens Syndrome. She and her staff are caring, compassionate, down to earth, and she is highly regarded and excellent in her field. Dr. Erin provides hope, encouragement, and honesty. She challenges her patients and asks them to take a very active role in their overall health and wellbeing. If you want to partner with a top-notch Rheumatologist, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Arnold.

Was not professional and breached her duty of care doctrine.

She tried to amputate my hand without even asking what symptoms I was experiencing. Didn’t even give me a sticker when she was done. Worst service ever!

She is a horrible doctor who doesn’t care about her patients. Most narcissistic person I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure how her license to practice medicine hasn’t been taken away yet. I would not recommend seeing her or even being friends with her. Absolute clown!

Patient, great diagnostic approach, daughter loves her. A leader in her field in my opinion. Very open to whole health (diet/supplements) which is not to be taken for granted.

Responsive and diligent care

Dr Arnold found the source of my peculiar chronic pain symptoms. She is professional, friendly and explained all my test results. I enjoy speaking to her and would highly recommend her. Her appointments are hard to get!

I have been a patient of Dr. Arnold’s for about a year and a half, and my mom is a patient as well. I have to say Dr. Arnold (and her PA Laura) really know what they’re doing and are compassionate people. I am in the worst flare of my life and when I called the office hysterical, Dr. Arnold HERSELF got on the phone. I’ve never had a doctor get on the phone to help like that. She got me in that day to do whatever she could to help me. I had to call back as I was still in bad shape a few days later and Laura got on the phone and got me an appt that day also. They have been beyond accommodating in getting me in for same day when I really needed it. They also referred me to Dr. Dan Cha for pain - and so far (only had one visit) he is a winner too! Had been a patient of Dr. Arnold for several years before she moved to Skokie. She was always attentive and friendly and I had great confidence in her. After moving to Skokie she hired a physician assistance which resulted in less time with her. On my last visit to her office, the PA made the diagnosis of a Bakers Cyst and recommend removal of the fluid. Shortly after, Dr. Arnold came into the room, never said hello, and proceeded to direct/teach the PA on how to do the procedure. On one occasion when I complained that I didn't want to see a PA, I wanted to see her, she stormed into the room, said this is how she ran her practice, and suggested I see someone else. I never went back to her office again.

The office physician assistant saw me numerous times. This last time she made judgements about my weight and exercise and passed those on to the doctor. The PA was snippy and disrespectful. The doctor was not any better. The odd thing is that neither of them looked at my chart, asked me about my diet or about any exercise at home. The culmination was the threat of a medication change. I will not be returning.

This Dr has a very poor bedside manner. No empathy. Not only does she not know how to communicate she has a bad reputation with many fellow Doctors. They no longer refer patients to her. Be very careful when choosing your Doctors and get feedback from a trusted Doctor in who they would recommend. She certainly did not take after her father who was a great Doctor. Not a good fit for anyone needing a diagnosis. If you do not show up in time you may lose your appointment. Dr. Arnold is very professional, super knowledgeable, and kind. Whenever I go in for a visit, she is always cheerful and has creative ways to address my issues. She's really the first doctor that was able to figure out was was going on and treat it more effectively than anyone I've seen before. I never saw Dr. Arnold and I am no longer planning to. I was referred to this office by my PCP after experiencing non-stop headaches for 4 months. On the day of the appointment, I tried my best to come on time in spite of my terrible headache and dizziness. But this office is located on plaza with a lot of buildings around, a very tricky location for GPS. As a result, I got a little bit lost and was IN the office 16 minutes late. This pretty rude receptionist told me that I was marked as "no-show". Same day my credit card was charged $100 without my consent for "no-show" fee, and the office manager told me that they made me a favor for not charging $250!!! Needless to say, I cancelled my rescheduled appointment, because I believe: if $$$ are more important for a doctor than being an understanding human being, then I don't need to see this greedy business woman. And, like it seems from the other reviews, she is not a good doctor either. So, I should be happy she didn't do me more harm.

It is sad that you can't schedule an appointment unless you commit to putting a credit card on file where they bill your card as soon as the claim as gone through without approval or consent of the amount being billed. I showed up for first appt 15 minutes late after calling office staff advising them I was running slightly behind. Since I was unfamiliar with the location, and the exact office building it took time to determine where to park in the crowded parking lots. I looked at my Fitbit as I walked in the door and noted the exact time, stating it aloud to the aloof receptionist whom I spoke to 25 minutes earlier. The greeting and overall reception by the lady receptionist was cold at best. When she told me I was 15 min late and it would be a problem, I apologized and offered to reschedule. We then set up a later appt date. I was preparing to leave when she announced that I owed them $250.00 for being a NO SHOW! I’m certain my jaw dropped. This seemed completely unreasonable to me, as I was standing in the office, only 15 minutes late. I asked to speak to the ofc manager who was on a conference call and unavailable to meet. I left a message to be called back, then CANCELLED the future appt I had just made. Who wouldn’t after that treatment? The receptionist assured me the ofc mgr would tell me the same thing because it is their “policy!” As inflexible and determined as was the receptionist, the mgr told me in no uncertain terms about their policy of charging when appts are cancelled or are ‘no shows’ as the Dr allows the full appt time for each new patient and that time cannot be reused and/or charged to another patient. To be fair, I was never offered a shorter time to spend with this doctor after showing up 15 minutes late, and there would have been at least 45 minutes left for a minimum one hour appt. Instead, I was advised she could now not see me, and I was being charged the $250.00. WOW! To my benefit, the original credit card I had booked my appt with had been closed, and they were unable to automatically charge this unsubstantiated amount. Since that time I have been getting repeated bills, to which I’ve responded in writing, opposing the bill each time, while never hearing back from anyone. It borders on abuse. I’m sorry, but this treatment of patients is over-the-top callous and detached and not the culture I would expect or ever want from any Doctor or his/her office staff. Dr. Arnold is amazing and her staff is nothing short of that either. I have been a Multi-sport athlete my entire life, including college. I have always suffered more injuries, dealt with longer recovery periods, & experienced much higher pain levels in general than that of my peers... while completing the same lifts/workouts/etc! Dr. Arnold was the first doctor in two states to figure out the problem and accurately diagnose me. I am now officially in remission for AS and I have only Dr. Arnold & company to thank for that. Though i will never be “cured” & I still have my weekly injections/ battle pain and other side effects, I can now handle/monitor the disease much better. Whenever I have an issue, ranging from injuries to insurance and anything in between, I can always count on getting help from the office. Once upon a time, l was going through a bad time in my life and l finally broke down and decided to see a doctor, this new doctor realized l needed a specialist to look further into my case and that was the day l met Dr. E.Arnold. These 2 amazing new doctors put their heads together and figured out my situation and basically saved my life. I am eternally grateful to both of them. I actually look forward to my follow ups with this office They are the most laid back, down to earth, professional team and staff! Was referred to her but due to their billing "rule", I am unable to see her. Beware, they REQUIRE you to give your credit card and will bill you whatever your insurance company does not pay. No advance warning, nothing. So, you owe $576, they will charge your credit card. Makes me sick, they won't set up payment plan, just bill it. PASS. They care more about $ than patients with something like that set up.

I saw her twice, actually once, as her PA did the visit the 2nd time.... I had a severe reaction to Enbrel & it got worse after each injection, so I finally had to call her. She acted like I was crazy & she was only interested in protecting the drug company, which not only really hurt me, as my symptoms were really scaring me, but its completely unethical as a doctor to do. I really liked her the 1st time, but I was completely blown away by how she treated me. Still in shock....

I have recommended Dr. Arnold to a family member. I started seeing her father, William Arnold, over three years ago. He was wonderful! Doctor Erin and her team really handled the transition well when Dr. William retired, and she is impressive in her own right. It's not an easy trip there and back for office visits (95 miles each way) but I wouldn't think of changing doctors. I'm confident I have the best care available.

Dr. Erin is amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable, uses the most updated research in her diagnosis, treatments, and tests. She is straightforward, honest, and caring. Her medical assistants are great. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Arnold is amazing. She is the only rheumatologist I've ever had. When she left Illinois bone and joint to open her own practice, I followed her. Can't imagine trusting my care to anyone else. She is professional, but treats you like family. Really listens to your needs and goes out of her way to help in any way she can. She's the best and her staff is great!

hard to say if Dr is good when see her for 4-5 minutes ; use of physician assistant to increase billings & decrease MD face time with patients and added no benefit to patient. If I wanted to be treated by a PA, would go to doc in the box. With very brief MD time which included computer time, concerned about treatment choices.

Dr Arnold is amazing!. She LISTENS to her patients concerns. Spends plenty of time with you. Excellent at diagnosing patients with complex autoimmune/ auto inflammatory rheumatic diseases; very thorough,caring, patient centric. I received my diagnosis, we cried together. Erin changed my life when it seemed nearly hopeless!!! Nurses are extremely helpful and responsive when I need to get something approved, or have questions between appointments. Tracy, nurse in the infusion room is excellent!
