The person who checked me in and later out seemed very burnt out and robotic. The x-ray tech was friendly, but forgot to give me any vest or covering, also seemed rushed. The doctor who saw me again, seemed very rushed. He seemed to get flustered when I had extra questions. It feels like the people here maybe are a bit overworked and not being given enough recoup time, but that's honestly conjecture. Short staff certainly wouldn't be a surprise these days. Once I was checked in, I was quickly taken back. Dr. Falendar took his time and answered all my questions. He gave me his card in case I have any further questions.

I have only have had good experiences with St Vicent Carmel. Today I met Dr Falender, he literally diagnosed me within minutes PLUS fixed my wrist with in minutes. Highly recommend him & St Vicent Carmel

We had a great experience. Dr. Falender was knowledgeable about the area of injury and his staff was efficient. We arrived early for our appointment and got right in. He was patient with our daughter and answered all of our questions.

I have gone to Dr. Falender for 25 years and he is by far my favorite Doctor ever. He will always take care of you and be so nice to you. He has performed surgery several times and he is fabulous, he knows his stuff, LOVE him!

I was taken to the exam room almost immediately upon arrival. The doctor came in the room within 5 minutes and ordered x-rays. The x-ray tech came in within 2 minutes and escorted me to the x-ray room where he proceeded to take 3 pictures of the area. Once the x-rays we're finished and I was escorted back to the exam room the doctor came back in within 5 minutes and confirmed my suspicion of OA. He discussed with me the options available for my situation and I opted for a noninvasive course of treatment to start with. I was fitted for and given a splint for the area and I will call for further treatment when I can no longer stand the pain. This was probably the best first visit to any doctor I've ever had. I was very happy with his advice and ability to understand and fix my injury. Everything went great!

He listened attentively, gave great advice, and gave me the cortisone shot I needed.

Dr. Falender fixed my thumb after arthritis set in. He, his staff, from check in, to surgery prep, to casting, to cast removal, all follow ups, were just great. Y found this true with everyone I have encountered at Ortho Indy over the past year after a fall!

Dr Falender is the ONLY ortho dr I will ever again see for my TFCC repairs (wrist surgery to repair holes in the cartilage and tendons with debris removal from a wear and tear syndrome, not a repetitive injury). I had my first surgery with him at 16 (24 years ago), which was rare at that age. It fixed the problems perfectly! At age 24 I needed another TFCC repair on the other wrist and due to insurance I had to choose a different dr whole would agree to do the surgery and ultimately go through three dr.s who would would either deny performing surgery or attempt the surgery before they would approve me seeing Dr Falender as an out of network dr and cover the charges. Two dr.s denied doing the surgery due to lack of knowledge and the third said he would “attempt” it. He attempted and failed miserably! He made matters worse! So, off to Dr. Falender again and he did the same amazing work the second time. I have had zero issues during this time. He is an amazing Dr. and should any issues arise in the future, I will definitely only see him again. I have been treated by Dr Falender for 2 separate injuries. I fell on my left wrist. He helped by giving me the correct brace for my wrist. The second issue was more serious. I had been treated for a wart under my fingernail for 6 years. After several biopsies it was determined I had a benign tumor under my fingernail. Dr Falender removed the tumor 5 months ago. I now how a fingernail that is growing normally without the pain of the tumor. Dr Falender is a great physician and actually cares about how you feel. I highly recommend him.

I had a prior surgery from a different doctor in which I had a plate and screws inserted into my forearm. I ended up breaking that hardware and the bone. Dr. Falender took the broken hardware out and fixed the bone for me and replaced it with stronger hardware. My arm has never been better and I am back to full strength with no restrictions. I highly recommend Dr. Falender!

I had surgery on both thumbs to remove the severely arthritic bones in the joints and to reposition ligaments to rebuild the areas. Dr. Falender patiently provided answers to my many questions about the procedures and rehab. The results were amazing and I am now pain-free in both hands, which are now the strongest they've ever been. Dr Falender is courteous, professional & very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him to those who need surgery of a hand or upper extremity.

Dr. Falender fixed my thumb 8 years ago and is an incredible surgeon. I would absolutely recommend him for anyone with hand or arm issues.

I am very angry at the horrible experience I had with Dr Falender. He spent a total of 3 minutes with me and just looked at my ailment for 30 seconds without touching/examining/treating the affected areas or asking me pertinent questions such as pain I was experiencing. He told me to continue to do what I have been doing without asking me what I have been doing for this ailment! I asked a few questions, and he responded with one word answers.

He diagnosised left elbow as same we planned on surgery 7 wks later as left elbow is getting worse he dictates to work comp "can't say it's work related" HELLO JUST FIXED RGT ELBOW WHICH WAS WORK RELATED! Don't feel he relates or cares for patients well being. He didn't have ppl skilled but did great job on rgt elbow which was work comp. My wife recently broke her wrist. We went to the ER that day, where they wouldn't set it but referred us to a sports medicine facility. We begged them to try, but they would not set it. Since it was a holiday, she waited 3days to have someone look at it. They were insistent on surgery to fix it. We didn't like the cost or the risks. So we went to Ortho Indy Southside where we met Dr. Robert Falender. When we walked in the room, her x-rays were on the screen, he came in and reviewed the options. Told us we could try to set it and if the results were not satisfactory, look at other options then. Literally one hour and 15 minutes from the time we walked in the door, her arm was set, we had a plan, a next appointment and we were in the car headed home, all at an affordable price! It was amazing. Turns out they have hours from 8-8 and weekend hours too. If we had only known, we sure wouldn't have taken that trip to the ER! We urge anyone who has a broken appendage of any kind to see them first. Best care and treatment we've ever had and her wrist has healed beautifully. Thank you Dr. Falendar! He and his staff were very conscientious of my injury and didn't inflict any unecessary pain as i have had other Dr's grab the injury and just start moving it, putting you into that contortionists dance from the unnecessary pain. All of my appointments were quick and concise. He is very knowledgeable in his field as well. I was very satisfied in all aspects of service. Thank you.

Not ppl skilled! Fixed rgt elbow was supposed to fix left same diagnosis as rgt then decides to say "can't say work related" HELLO JUST FIXED RGT ELBOW WORK RELATED! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOESN'T CARE ABOUT PATIENTS INSUFFICIENT.
